Position: Freelance Auditor – SMETA Program – Control Union Certifications

Control Union (United States), Inc.  is seeking experienced Freelance SMETA Auditors to conduct social compliance audits under the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) framework.

Responsibilities:

• Perform independent SMETA audits in accordance with Sedex and Control Union procedures.
• Evaluate working conditions, labor rights, health & safety measures, and ethical business practices.
• Conduct worker interviews and site inspections impartially.
• Prepare accurate audit reports and submit findings within agreed timelines.
• Ensure compliance with international auditing standards and client requirements

Requirements:

• Perform independent SMETA audits in accordance with Sedex and Control Union procedures.
• Evaluate working conditions, labor rights, health & safety measures, and ethical business practices.
• Conduct worker interviews and site inspections impartially.
• Prepare accurate audit reports and submit findings within agreed timelines.
• Ensure compliance with international auditing standards and client
• Valid driver’s license
