CANADA - Agri Auditor
Responsible for planning and conducting certification audits of agricultural, cannabis cultivation and processing operations, as well as food industry facilities, assessing conformity with applicable certification standards, regulations, and requirements.
The position will have a particular focus on CanadaGAP and cannabis-related certification and regulatory requirements, while knowledge or experience with other food safety certification schemes will be considered an asset.
Main Responsibilities

Plan and conduct on-site audits at agricultural operations, cannabis cultivation and processing facilities, and food industry plants. Prepare and submit audit reports documenting findings and conformity with applicable requirements, including follow-up activities when required.

Assess compliance primarily with CanadaGAP requirements and cannabis-related standards and regulations, and applicable Health Canada Cannabis Regulations. Knowledge or experience with additional food safety schemes such as SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, GlobalG.A.P., Organic or similar standards will be considered an asset.

Assist with the management and follow-up of non-conformities, complaints, appeals, testimonies, and other certification-related matters.

Stay informed about relevant changes and developments in CanadaGAP requirements, cannabis regulations at the federal and provincial levels, and applicable food safety standards, guidelines, and procedures in Canada.

Coordinate internally and directly with clients regarding audit planning, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up activities.
Requirements

Language: Advanced English, with the ability to read and write technical documentation and communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.

Education: University degree in Agronomy, Food Science, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.

CanadaGAP: Knowledge of or experience with CanadaGAP is highly desirable and will be considered a key asset for the position.

Cannabis: Knowledge of cannabis cultivation, processing, and/or applicable Canadian cannabis requirements is highly valued.

Additional Certification Schemes: Knowledge, training, or experience with food safety and agricultural certification schemes such as SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, GlobalG.A.P., CUMCS-GAP/GACP, GMP+, Organic or similar standards is considered an asset.

Previous Experience: Initial professional experience or exposure to agricultural operations, food safety, food production, cannabis cultivation or processing, certification, quality assurance, or related fields.

Technical Knowledge: Basic to intermediate knowledge or exposure to agricultural production, food safety, cannabis cultivation and/or processing, good agricultural or production practices, sustainability, or certification requirements.

Auditing & Certification: Previous exposure to audits, inspections, quality systems, or certification processes is desirable. Familiarity with audit principles and techniques, certification processes, and normative or regulatory documents is considered an asset.
